I'm going on holiday tomorrow and I was wondering what mindset I should take with me during my 2 week break before I return to work the right way: rested, motivated... and tanned!
Seth Godin fulfilled my expectations with his thought of the day post:
What and how
Small dreams work this way: figure out what’s available, then choose your favorite.
Important dreams are based on what needs to be done, and then… find your how.
It’s always easier to order off the menu. Is easier the goal?
I'll be able to ponder the question and share it with you whether you're tanned already or not!
About Seth Godin
Seth Godin is an American entrepreneur, former direct marketing VP at Yahoo and a successful author and speaker in marketing. He popularised the notion of permission marketing (a communication/publicity technique that advertises goods and services when advance consent is given unlike interruption marketing). The idea of permission marketing is to encourage customers to enter and accept increasing levels of permission, i.e. consent to a brand or product through a relationship marketing programme. His 2010 book, Are You Indispensable? »looks beyond marketing to address personal development. Seth Godin then launched the Domino project with Amazon and published Poke the Box then We Are All Weird, books encouraging us to shake up the status quo and take the plunge. He posted his free new Stop Stealing Dreams ebook on his blog in February 2012
